• Our Roots
Developed in 1945, Small's started as a pottery hut and has grown into a huge 13 acre garden center. John Small and Julie Krcilek, a brother and sister team, grew into the business created from their parents, Walter and Helen Small. Now, the two oversee one of the largest landscaping and nursery outlets in Northern Indiana. Over the years, the faces of the company and its services have undergone several changes, but the roots of the company have always remained strong. In 1997, Small's planted a 7000 square foot gift shop featuring unique one-of-a-kind gifts.

• Today
Small's has been described as a "hidden treasure" located between Michigan City & South Bend of US 20. Many of the plants and shrubs are grown in Small's 70 acre farm just a stone's throw away. Rather than shipping them in, Small's is able to provide consistent care to the products and services they offer. It's no wonder that Small's has grown from a mom & pop company toa wonderful landscaping corporation.
